On Behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 1st UAE International Pediatric Surgery Congress of the Emirates Pediatric Surgery Society and the 10th Arab Association of Pediatric Surgeons Congress, Workshop and Course from 6th to 10th March 2008. Under the Patronage of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Medical Services Corps, The collaboration of the Emirates Pediatric Surgery Society of the Emirates Medical Association (EMA) and the Arab Association of Pediatric Surgeons, we are pleased to welcome you in Abu Dhabi.

Under the Patronage of the United Arab Emirates Armed Forces, Medical Services Corps, The collaboration of the Emirates Pediatric Surgery Society of the Emirates Medical Association (EMA) and the Arab Association of Pediatric Surgeons, we are pleased to welcome you in Abu Dhabi.

Together we will make this congress at the highest scientific level, with your communications and by inviting eminent pediatric surgeons from around the world to give a state of art lectures and to perform a workshop and a course scheduled on 6th and 7th March.

Our main topics will be the Minimal Invasive Surgery, Intersexes Dilemmas discussed on its medico legal and surgical aspects. A special session will be given to the neonatal surgery in the Arab World to discuss and audit its situation in the region.

Other session will be dedicated to relevant fields as Pediatric Anesthesia and Pediatric Plastic Surgery.

We are organizing a Pediatric Life Support (EPLS) course, it is important to register early to receive the book and program on time. (Latest 1 month before the course). This is an advanced course, organized by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC). A certificate From the ERC will be given upon passing the course.

Abstracts for oral presentation and posters will be accepted online at www.apsc2008.com until 17th January 2008.

The organizing committee is also scheduling some social activities for the participants to enjoy the nice weather we usually have in Abu Dhabi during March.
